A stunning Centre piece to adorn anything from a coffee table to a side board, even a wooden floor. Truly unique in design, this storm damaged sycamore limb has surpassed anything I had imagined when I collected it from the forest floor. Its natural legs, and the way the rooted end almost flows seamlessly to form its own footing. Grinding and shaping along these natural contours, sanding and French polishing this piece has given me hours of pleasure. I hope you like it too.

Timber generally is a live organic medium. In short it can be unpredictable. After a lifetime of avoiding splits, cracks and knots in my work, I now delight in their beauty and characteristics. Likewise please accept that this piece may change in various ways overtime. Ultimately however it is, by design, not built to be perfect. It is it’s imperfections that make it to both you the consumer, and me, it’s creator – Perfect!
